Penn State Football Defensive Tackle Hakeem Beamon To Return For 2024 Season
Penn State football defensive tackle Hakeem Beamon will return to the Nittany Lions in 2024, he announced Friday. Along with tight end Tyler Warren and fellow defensive tackle Dvon Ellies, Beamon is the third Nittany Lion to announce his return for next season.
Beamon has been a fairly consistent starter for Penn State over the last two seasons. He’s started 18 times over the Nittany Lions’ last 25 games, with 12 of those starts coming in 2022. In the last season, Beamon notched six tackles, including one sack. The year prior, he made 18 total tackles, including six for a loss, and a quarterback hurry.
While Beamon didn’t make an appearance in 2021, Beamon made 11 appearances the two seasons prior. He totaled nine tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.
Beamon will be a key cog in Penn State’s returners on the defensive line. In addition to Ellies, Beamon will work with defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton to strengthen Penn State in the trenches with the departures of defensive ends Adisa Isaac and Chop Robinson to the NFL.
