Penn State Football Offensive Tackle Ibrahim Traore Enters Transfer Portal

Update, 11:24 a.m.

Traore officially announced his entrance into the portal Tuesday morning.

“Extremely grateful for every opportunity and experience,” Traore wrote on Twitter.

The offensive tackle will depart Happy Valley as a graduate transfer with three years of eligibility remaining.

Original Story:

Penn State football offensive tackle Ibrahim Traore has entered the transfer portal, per Pete Nakos of On3. Traore is now the sixth Nittany Lion to hit the portal at the end of the regular season, following Dante Cephas, Jake Wilson, Jace Tutty, Cristian Driver, and Alex Bacchetta.

Traore has three years of eligibility remaining after spending the last four years in Happy Valley. He first arrived at Penn State as a three-star commit in the recruiting Class of 2020. Per his profile on Penn State Athletics’ website, Traore didn’t see any in-game action for his first three seasons and only entered one game in 2023.

Since the portal opened, Penn State has added offensive tackle Nolan Rucci to its roster. Rucci came to the Nittany Lions from Wisconsin after Penn State heavily pursued the former five-star in-state recruit in high school. Phil Trautwein’s offensive line is also expected to see heavy turnover in 2024, with four of five starters departing after running out of eligibility or leaving for the NFL Draft.
