Your Official THON 2024 (Water) Drinking Game

We dance today, folks!

With 708 dancers and thousands of other students participating in this year’s dance marathon, the Bryce Jordan Center will be ~boomin’~ all For The Kids.

Whether it’s for football games or Sylly Week, we always like to make sure there’s some fun involved to guide and motivate you through an event. And with a weekend filled with good vibes, dancing, and standing on your feet, staying hydrated is essential for keeping your mind and body moving.

Without further ado, grab your water bottle, fill it up with water, and enjoy this year’s THON water-drinking game.

  • To start the weekend off strong, take a nice, long swig of water when the dancers stand.
  • Chug some water every time you hear “DANCER RELATIONS CAPTAINS TO THE STAGE.”
  • Every time the line dance wraps up, swig back some water for five seconds.
  • Take a sip whenever you hear or see “For The Kids.”
  • For every floating bubble you see, have a sip.
  • Take a sip for every “We Are” chant.
  • Anytime you hear “Dance The Night” by Dua Lipa or “SkeeYee” by Sexyy Red, treat yourself to a sip. Surely, we’ll be hearing these bangers throughout the weekend.
  • Slam down a whole bottle of water when you treat yourself to crab fries or a chicken basket.
  • At the start of each national act, take a swig.
  • Take a sip every time you see the Nittany Lion. Take another if he’s sporting a fun costume.
  • Whenever OPP does slides of strength, have a nice, three-second chug.
  • Take a sip for every Zamboni you see.
  • Chug your water for any special guest or famous alumni who make an appearance.
  • If you get squirt with a water gun, have a sip.
  • Take a sip every time you see someone make a diamond with their hands. This is inevitable.
  • Have a sip for every hour you’re in the stands or on the floor.
  • Chug any time a TikTok song or dance comes up.
  • Finish your drink whenever OPP mops the floor.
  • Have a sip every time a throwback plays during Final Four.
  • Finish off whatever water you have left when the dancers sit. You deserve it.

Remember to stay hydrated all weekend long!
