Power Ranking THON 2024 Greek Life Letters

Every year, organizations participating in THON create elaborate and unique letters to encourage and motivate their dancers for 46 hours. Some orgs choose to decorate with lights, while others cover them with impressively hand-drawn designs. Let’s take a look at some of the top Greek life letters at this year’s THON.

No. 9: Phi Kappa Tau

Although Phi Kappa Tau has a simple design this year, the clean, checkered pattern stands out in the crowd. Not to mention, the rainbow light-up outline was a nice touch and had its dancers hyped and on its feet for most of the night.

No. 8: Trilogy & Phi Sigma Kappa

Who doesn’t love the minions? The intricate and vibrant designs of the letters are impressive, but the fairy lights outlining the letters are what make them pop.

No. 7: Alpha Sigma Alpha & Pi Kappa Phi

We all loved Legos as a kid, and this design had us ready to build a bigger and brighter future all For The Kids. Having the same pattern on each of its letters made them easy to spot the clean look.

No. 6: Alpha Tau Omega & Zeta Tau Alpha

Alpha Tau Omega and Zeta Tau Alpha had different designs for each letter, while still making each one intricate and unique. Their signs were sure to keep dancers moving all night long.

No. 5 Delta Phi Epsilon

Hopefully you don’t get scared easily because these designs were spot-on to the on-screen Mike Wazowski. The attention to detail in its sign didn’t go unnoticed thanks to outlined letters in vibrant fairy lights.

No. 4: Delta Gamma & Delta Upsilon

Not only did Delta Gamma and Delta Upsilon create some of the largest signs, they were the most decorative by far. The Scooby Doo characters were practically life-like and had us on our feet to solve a mystery.

No. 3: Sigma Pi & Delta Zeta

It’s hard to believe the Sig Pi and Delta Zeta signs weren’t taken straight out of the Mario movie. The letters were clean, colors were vibrant, and pictures were true to the video game. This one was a home run.

No. 2: Gammacacia

While many find it impossible, Gammacacia designed each one of its 10 letters in lively colors and adorable Paw Patrol sketches. Gammacacia took it a step further to add sparkling fairy lights on each letter to light up another THON Weekend.

No. 1: Sigma Sigma Sigma & Zeta Beta Tau

Even from the floor, Zeta Beta Tau and Tri Sig’s signs were noticeable. Each letter was executed perfectly with vibrant colors and defined lines while reminding us all of one of the most nostalgic childhood movies.

Overall, the signs at THON this year were creative and unique with a few major stand outs, helping motivate our dancers through the rest of their weekend.
