More Homemade Penn State-Themed Cocktails For Your State Patty’s Weekend

The time has finally come for yet another State Patty’s Weekend, and with that comes a weekend filled with day drinking, bar-hopping, and good ole’ shenanigans.

To get hype for every student’s favorite fake Penn State holiday, we cheffed up a few more drinks to debut at your daylong this weekend.

We got to mixing in the kitchen and came up with six cocktails to get you in the State Patty’s spirit. These drinks aren’t anything too fancy, but they will certainly be easy to chug to “Rattlin’ Bog.”

Nittany Lion-ade

Ingredients: Two to three shots of triple sec, one cup of lemonade, and half a cup of blue Gatorade or Blue Curaçao

Named after the Symbol of our Best, we’re starting things off hot with a blue lemonade to show off that Penn State pride. This bev is probably our favorite on this list as it’s subtly sweet and will most definitely get the job done. Three of these bad boys, and you’re all set to have a good night out.

Cham-10-2 Every Year-Pagne

Ingredients: About a quarter cup of champagne, a shot or two of triple sec, one cup or about half a bottle of blue Gatorade, half a cup of club soda, and frozen blueberries

This one goes out to all the avid football fans. The Nittany Lions’ record really puts the “pain” in cham-PAIN. So, crack open a cheap bottle of champagne and chug the pain away with this bubbly, slightly blue cocktail. Add frozen blueberries as an ice supplement and for extra fizz. We live in Spain, but the “S” is silent, folks.

Shamrock Sipper

Ingredients: One or two shots of vodka, half a cup of pineapple juice, as much Aqua Fresca Limonada as your little heart desires, and a few drops of sweetened lime juice

Given that Downtown State College will be a sea of green this weekend, naturally, it only makes sense to chef up a cocktail that matches your decked-out fit.

Grab some Minute Maid Aqua Fresca Limonada or green Mio to make your cocktail festive along with the vodka of your choice. Then, throw in some lime juice and lime for garnish, and you’ll surely feel lucky all weekend long. This drink is another favorite, and we highly recommend it.

Allar-tini

Ingredients: Two to three shots of apple vodka, half a bottle of Sprite/Starry, a quarter of a cup of apple juice, a splash of blue Gatorade, and some apple slices for garnish

Drew Allar with a side of apple martini? Say less.

Grab some lemon-lime soda and apple juice, pour in the apple vodka of your choice, throw in a splash of blue Gatorade (Drew definitely drinks that shit religiously), and throw in a few apple slices for garnish.

This drink will surely make you ready to become a Division I quarterback in no time.

Malib-Olu O-Lime

Ingredients: Two to three shots of Malibu coconut rum, half a single serving bottle of Coke, and as much lime juice as you desire

Now, this drink might just look and sound like your typical rum and coke, but the name is fun to say and nods to offensive lineman Olu Fashanu. Get ready to ~tackle~ the weekend with this cocktail.

This is also a petition to make Penn State a Coke school.

Whether you’re a pro at DIY bartending or you’re sticking to cans this weekend, be sure to have a fun and safe holiday and drink responsibly.
