Former Penn State Men’s Soccer Midfielder Peter Mangione Signs MLS NEXT Contract With FC Cincinnati 2

FC Cincinnati 2, the MLS NEXT affiliate of FC Cincinnati, signed former Penn State men’s soccer midfielder Peter Mangione to a professional contract, the club announced Tuesday. The deal’s terms were not announced.

Mangione will move to the professional level after spending four years with the blue and white and becoming the program’s 13th all-time leading goal scorer with 31.

Last season as a senior, Mangione led the Nittany Lions in goals with 10, shots with 47, shots on goal with 22, game-winning goals with six, and points with 24.

The Hunt Valley, Maryland, native is now one of five midfielders with a pro contract with FC Cincinnati 2.

FC Cincinnati 2 will begin its season at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, at NKU Soccer Stadium. The game will be streamed on MLSNEXTPro.com.
