Report: Lady Lion Forward Kylie Lavelle Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State women’s basketball forward Kylie Lavelle has entered the transfer portal, according to Talia Goodman of The Next Hoops. Lavelle averaged 3.5 points, 0.5 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game across 26 appearances and no starts.

Lavelle came to Penn State after one season at Drexel, where she started 23 times for the Dragons. She was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team after recording 11.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, finishing 20th in her conference in points per game.

After transferring to Penn State, Lavelle struggled to recreate her success in Philadelphia. She only spent 334 minutes on the court, though she shot 48.1% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc.

Lavelle became the fourth Lady Lion to enter the portal, after Shay Ciezki, now of Indiana, Ali Brigham, now of Bryant, and Leilani Kapinus. The Lady Lions have added guard Gracie Merkle from the portal.
