Former Penn State Football Quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson Transfers To Kansas State

Former Penn State football quarterback Ta’Quan Roberson has committed to transfer to Kansas State, he announced Wednesday. Roberson’s stop at Kansas State will be the third of his collegiate career after he previously transferred from Penn State to UConn.

With Penn State, Roberson completed 11 of 29 passes for 85 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. His most notable appearance came in 2021 against Iowa when he relieved injured starter Sean Clifford in the second quarter. Roberson struggled, completing seven of 21 passes for 34 yards and two interceptions. He never again saw the field in a Penn State uniform.

Roberson was named UConn starter in late August of 2022, though he tore his ACL three days later. In 2023, Roberson made 11 appearances for the Huskies, completing 197 of 338 passing attempts for 2,075 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Roberson became the second former Penn State player to join Kansas State this offseason after wide receiver Dante Cephas transferred there in the first portal window.
