Penn State Hoops To Play Virginia Tech In Hall Of Fame Series In Baltimore November 15

Penn State men’s basketball is set to take on Virginia Tech on Friday, November 15, in the 2024 Hall of Fame Series at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. Jon Rothstein first reported the matchup last month and Penn State Athletics confirmed the game on Tuesday afternoon.

The Hall of Fame Series is a multi-game in-season event that showcases non-conference games.

The Nittany Lions last played the Hokies in 2022 in a two-point loss in the semifinal round of the Charleston Classic. This will be the twelfth all-time meeting between Penn State and Virginia Tech.

Penn State competed in a couple of similar matchups last season, traveling to New York to take on Georgia Tech at Madison Square Garden last December and returning to Philadelphia for a matchup against Michigan at The Palestra.

The full schedule is yet to be released for the upcoming 2024-25 season, but it has been reported Penn State is to participate in the Sunshine Slam and host Buffalo on December 1.

Tickets for the Hall of Fame Series will go on sale on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m. Tipoff time and broadcast information will be announced at a later date. Folks can buy tickets here.
