Penn State Hoops Releases 2024-25 Jersey Numbers

Year two under head coach Mike Rhoades is right around the corner.

After a promising first season that ended with the Nittany Lions finishing 16-17 with program-changing wins over ranked Wisconsin and Illinois, Rhoades and his staff hit the road to restructure the roster. After a busy two months, the team is finalized and jersey numbers have been assigned.

The Nittany Lions’ 2023-24 jersey numbers are as follows:

  • Jahvin Carter – No. 0
  • Ace Baldwin Jr. – No. 1
  • D’Marco Dunn – No. 2
  • Nick Kern Jr. – No. 3
  • Freddie Dilione V – No. 4
  • Puff Johnson – No. 5
  • Dominick Stewart – No. 7
  • Miles Goodman – No. 8
  • Joe Sedora – No. 10
  • Eli Rice – No. 11
  • Yanic Konan Niederhauser – No. 14
  • Kachi Nzeh – No. 15
  • Zach Hicks – No. 24
  • Hudson Ward – No. 52

Johnson is the only returning player to hand in his old jersey for a new one. The former North Carolina forward switched from No. 4 to No. 5 for the upcoming season. Dilione will wear the No. 4 jersey this year after transferring from Tennessee.

Carter will dawn the coveted No. 0 after Kanye Clary was dismissed from the team in February. Stewart and Goodman will come to Happy Valley and wear No. 7 and No. 8 respectively. Jersey numbers with digits above 5 were prohibited in college basketball before the 2023 season.

Sedora will wear the No. 10 jersey as a walk-on. It will be the first time the number has been worn since Andrew Funk dawned it for the blue and white two seasons ago. Rice snagged the No. 11 jersey from Leo O’Boyle, whose college eligibility expired with Penn State this past year and has since moved to the NBL1.

Niederhauser chose to wear the No. 14 after transferring in from Northern Illinois. Demetrius Lilley last wore the number before transferring to La Salle. Nzeh will wear the No. 15 jersey after Dan Conlan repped it for the past four years.

The Nittany Lions have yet to release the full schedule for the season ahead. Penn State is set to compete in the Sunshine Slam in November, play Virginia Tech on November 15, and host Buffalo on December 1.
