Penn State Football’s Jameial Lyons & Kaveion Keys No Longer With Program

Penn State football’s Jameial Lyons and Kaveion Keys are no longer attending Penn State and are no longer on the program’s roster, a Penn State Athletics spokesperson confirmed to Onward State. Lyons and Keys were on interim suspension for a personal matter as recently as Wednesday.

Neither Lyons nor Keys appear on the team’s roster, though both players’ names appear in Penn State’s directory.

Lyons and Keys were removed with under a month until the team kicks off its season against West Virginia on August 31.

Both players were entering their second year at Penn State. Last year, Lyons burned his redshirt and made eight appearances en route to chalking up six tackles and a sack. Keys made two appearances and recorded one tackle against Delaware. While neither removal will have much of an impact at the top of Penn State’s depth chart, Lyons was expected to see plenty of reps at defensive end.
