Penn State Women’s Volleyball No. 7 In AVCA Preseason Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball was ranked No. 7 in the AVCA preseason poll on Monday in the lead-up to the 2024 season. The Nittany Lions moved up five spots from their No. 12 ranking at the end of last season.

The Nittany Lions were one of five Big Ten programs in the top 10. Oregon (No. 10), Purdue (No. 8) Wisconsin (No. 3), and Nebraska (No. 2) will all face Penn State in conference play. Additionally, Penn State will go up against Pitt (No. 4), Louisville (No. 6), Kentucky (No. 9), and Tennessee (No. 15) in out-of-conference play.

Penn State leads off its season at the end of the month with road trips to Tennessee on Friday, August 30, and Sunday, September 1. The Nittany Lions will christen Rec Hall on Tuesday, September 3, against Ball State.
