Penn State Women’s Volleyball Holds On To No. 3 Ranking In AVCA Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball was ranked No. 3 in the most recent AVCA poll, the organization announced Monday afternoon. It was the second consecutive week being ranked in the No. 3 spot.

The Nittany Lions are off to an 8-0 record this season, including ranked wins over No. 15 Tennessee, No. 4 Louisville, and No. 11 Kentucky. The blue and white also went 3-0 in the Penn State Invitational this past weekend.

The Big Ten was also represented by No. 5 Nebraska, No. 6 Purdue, No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 12 Oregon, No. 17 Minnesota, and No. 21 USC.

Pitt, Penn State’s opponent on Wednesday, kept the No. 1 ranking. The game will be played at 7 p.m. at the Petersen Events Center and will be televised on the ACC Network.
