Uncensored America Returning To Penn State With Debate On Presidential Election

Uncensored America will return to Penn State on Monday, September 30, for a debate between two pundits on the 2024 presidential election. The debate, featuring John Doyle and Steven Bonnell II speaking about the election choices of Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, will take place at 8 p.m. in Heritage Hall in the HUB.

A self-described “youth-driven free speech organization dedicated to hosting honest and fun conversations with controversial figures to fight censorship and cancel culture,” Uncensored America has made several appearances at Penn State in recent years, with controversial events ending in protests and cancelations.

Doyle, according to Uncensored America’s release, is a Christian-conservative activist, speaker, and political pundit. Doyle hosts “Heck Off, Commie!” and has spoken at various political events, including on college campuses.

Bonnell, A.K.A. “Destiny,” started his career as a “Starcraft 2” live streamer on Twitch before pivoting to streams on gaming, online debates, and political change. According to Uncensored America, he was recently banned from Twitch after a debate about transgender athletes. Bonnell is a self-described “omni-liberal,” a “tongue-in-cheek term that summarizes his main beliefs of liberalism and taking the best parts of all different kinds of political ideologies and using them together in a pragmatic way.”

Uncensored America’s most notable event at Penn State came in October 2022, when comedian Alex Stein brought Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes to a rally outside the Thomas Building. The event was canceled that night as protests turned violent.

Stein was scheduled to return to Penn State in October 2023, though the event was also canceled.

Folks interested in attending the debate can find tickets here.
