Penn State Women’s Volleyball Falls To No. 4 In AVCA Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball dropped one spot to No. 4 in the most recent AVCA poll, the organization announced Monday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions have a 10-1 record after suffering their first loss to No. 1 Pitt on Wednesday. The blue and white bounced back by going 2-0 in the Penn State Classic with wins over James Madison and Yale.

No. 2 Nebraska, No. 7 Wisconsin, and No. 10 Purdue joined Penn State as the Big Ten’s top 10 teams in the latest rankings, while No. 11 Oregon, No. 16 Minnesota, and No. 20 USC were also ranked.

The Nittany Lions return to action to face the Boilermakers at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, in West Lafayette, Indiana.
