Katie DeSa Named AHA Goaltender Of The Week

Penn State women’s hockey goaltender Katie DeSa was named one of Atlantic Hockey America’s (AHA) Goaltender of the Week after her performances against Northeastern.

DeSa recorded a 91% save percentage with 32 saves and allowed three goals against the Huskies in Penn State’s first series of the season. In Friday’s win, DeSa recorded 17 saves, allowed one goal, and had a 94% save percentage. The Nittany Lions are 1-1 to start the 2024-25 season.

Last season as Penn State’s starter, DeSa notched wins, 300 saves, and a 93.8% save percentage. DeSa and the Nittany Lions are set to return to action at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 4, on the road against UConn.
