Penn State Women’s Soccer Drops To No. 19 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer dropped to No. 19 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Nittany Lions dropped four spots after being ranked No. 15 in last week’s rankings.

This drop came after Penn State suffered its third loss of the season against then-No.18 Iowa on Thursday. The Nittany Lions lost 2-1 against the Hawkeyes, who have risen to No. 7 in the latest rankings. However, Penn State responded by beating Nebraska 1-0 on Sunday.

The Nittany Lions will return to action at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 4, to take on Rutgers at Jeffrey Field as they look to stay above .500 in Big Ten play.
