Penn State Baseball Releases 2025 Big Ten Schedule

Red October? Blue and white spring.

Penn State baseball announced its 2025 Big Ten schedule on Wednesday. The Nittany Lions conference slate includes 10 total series and five series hosted at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Head coach Mike Gambino’s squad opens up conference play at home against Indiana on March 7-9. The Nittany Lions lost the season series against the Hoosiers a season ago. Penn State travels to Northwestern for its first road series of the year on March 14-16.

The Nittany Lions return home on March 21 for a three-game series against Michigan State before heading back on the road for back-to-back series against Michigan and Minnesota. In Gambino’s first year in the Nittany Lions dugout, he took three of four from the Wolverines.

Penn State then welcomes one of the newcomers to the Big Ten in USC on April 11-13. The blue and white follow it up with a home series against Purdue.

The Nittany Lions make their first trip to the West Coast on April 25-27 to visit Big Ten newbies UCLA. Penn State does not play Oregon or Washington in those teams’ first season in the revamped Big Ten.

Penn State wraps up conference play with a final home series against Maryland on May 2-4 before its last series on the road at Rutgers on May 9-11.

Gambino led the Nittany Lions to a 29-24 record last season and a .500 record in conference play. In his first season, the blue and white made a magical run to the Big Ten Championship Game, falling to Nebraska.
