Penn State To Host Four NCAA Championship Events In 2026-28

Penn State has been selected to host four NCAA Championship events between 2026-28, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

The university will play host to the 2028 men’s and women’s fencing NCAA Championships, the 2027 men’s and women’s cross country NCAA Regional, the 2028 men’s gymnastics NCAA Championships, and the 2028 Division I men’s hockey NCAA Regional, which will be played in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Penn State will host the men’s gymnastics NCAA Championships at Rec Hall in 2028, the 10th time the program will have done so. Rec Hall’s hosting will be the most of any venue in the country, and Penn State most recently hosted the event in 2023.

Penn State’s hosting of the 2028 fencing NCAA Championships will mark the sixth time the program has done so, most recently hosting in 2021.

The Penn State Golf Courses will host the cross country NCAA Regional in 2027, and the university is already set to host the event in 2024.

The men’s hockey NCAA Regional will take place at the PPL Center in Allentown, though Penn State will serve as the official host. Penn State has hosted the 2018, 2019, and 2023 regionals at the PPL Center, and is set to host in 2025.
