The “Party To The Polls Purple Tour” presented by the Civil Responsibility Project, a nonpartisan nonprofit, is making a stop at Champs Downtown with rapper Cordae from noon to 2 p.m.

Cordae is a 27-year-old rapper from North Carolina. He released his debut album, “The Lost Boy,” in 2019 and dropped “From a Birds Eye View” in 2022. Cordae has had public spats with fellow rapper J. Cole and worked alongside Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak, Lil Wayne, and more.

Cordae is also set to perform in Tempe, Arizona, and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The tour aims to encourage and get people excited to vote by creating a celebratory environment at polling places nationwide. All ages will be allowed in the bar.

“We’re coming together to bring joy and gratitude to voters, volunteers, and election workers all over the country”, the event’s website said.

The event encourages dancing and celebration with free food, music, and more. It is free to RSVP for the event and all ages are welcome. Folks can find the link to RSVP here.
