After missing out on the Big Ten Tournament, Penn State field hockey wrapped up its season with an 8-9 record and a No. 18 spot in the national rankings.
Although their record didn’t fall in favor of the Nittany Lions, the season was filled with moments of celebration and countless smiles. Our photographers were there to capture it all, so let’s take one last look through their lenses.
The Nittany Lions battled through numerous tightly contested matches this season, requiring stick handling and teamwork across every corner of the field.
Despite a 4-4 home record, the Nittany Lions still netted an impressive 36 goals throughout the season, giving them plenty of reasons to celebrate.
This season marked the debut of the newly renovated field hockey complex, the Char Morett Curtiss Field, in honor of the program’s legendary former head coach.
For the fifth straight year, forward Sophia Gladieux was named to the First-Team All-Big Ten, leading the team with 20 goals. Gladieux entered the 2024 season after an Olympic campaign as part of the 2024 Paris Olympics USA Field Hockey Team.

Since the season ended earlier than fans had hoped, we’ll have to wait until next fall to see field hockey return to Happy Valley.
