[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Purdue

1-8 was no match for 8-1.

Penn State traveled to West Lafayette, Indiana, this weekend to take on Purdue. The Nittany Lions dismantled the Boilermakers 49-10, bringing Penn State’s record to 9-1. The high-scoring game allowed for a deep roster appearance on the field, making it a well-rounded win for the Nittany Lions.

As always, our photographers were on sight to capture the Midwestern showdown. So without further ado, let’s take a look at some highlights from the game.

Ross-Ade Stadium was prepped and ready to welcome Penn State.

Penn State arrived in style two hours before kickoff and took some time to look at enemy territory.

After a quick change, the Nittany Lions took the field to warm up.

Before returning to the locker room, Drew Allar gave the team a pregame pep talk.

Before we knew it, it was game time. Penn State ran onto the field in its normal fashion.

Starting the game strong, Allar found Kaytron Allen for a two-yard touchdown.

Tyler Warren quickly followed up with a contested catch in Purdue’s end zone for another Nittany Lion touchdown.

At the beginning of the second quarter, Nick Singleton ran the ball up the middle of Purdue’s defense, extending Penn State’s lead to 21-3.

After the half, Warren came out strong with a 48-yard rushing touchdown.

Abdul Carter recorded a team-high five tackles with two tackles for loss.

To close the game, Luke Reynolds scored his first career touchdown via a pass from Beau Pribula.

The Nittany Lions ended the game with a 49-10 win over the Boilermakers.
