Three-Star Wide Receiver Devonte Ross Transfers To Penn State Football

Three-star transfer portal wide receiver Devonte Ross has committed to transfer to Penn State football from Troy. Ross became the second wideout to commit to the Nittany Lions after USC’s Kyron Hudson.

Ross, who has one year of eligibility left, totaled 129 catches, 1,618 yards, and 14 touchdowns across three seasons with the Trojans. During the 2024 season, he notched 76 catches, 1,043 yards, and 11 touchdowns.

247Sports ranked Ross as the No. 84 athlete and No. 89 player from Georgia in the portal. He stands at 5’11” and 161 pounds.

Ross and Hudon’s additions to the Nittany Lions roster give the Nittany Lions a boost at a position in need. Penn State’s passing game largely relied on tight end Tyler Warren, as well as running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen toward the end of the season.
