Penn State Women’s Soccer’s Katie Scott Signs With Kansas City Current

Penn State women’s soccer freshman Katie Scott inked a professional contract with Kansas City Current, the club announced Wednesday morning.

Scott has been a star on both collegiate and national levels, helping lead the US women’s U-17 team to bronze in the 2024 U-17 Women’s World Cup.

She featured in 11 games for Penn State this season, notching two goals and two assists.

Scott was an exciting prospect for the Nittany Lions, ranked as the No. 26 recruit in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer and part of a Penn State recruiting group ranked No. 5. After her return from the Women’s World Cup, she wasted no time returning to the pitch.

Scott signed through the 2025 season.
