Three-star transfer edge rusher Owen Wafle has committed to Penn State football from Michigan, he announced Saturday. Wafle became the fifth transfer commit to sign on to the Nittany Lions.

Wafle, a Princeton, New Jersey, native, is rated as the No. 75 edge rusher and No. 784 overall player in the transfer portal, per 247Sports. He has four years of eligibility left after registering no snaps in his true freshman year with the Wolverines.

Wafle was rated as a four-star recruit out of high school, per the 247Sports Composite. He was the No. 50 defensive lineman and the No. 9 overall player from his home state.

Wafle joined wide receivers Devonte Ross and Kyron Hudson, edge rusher Enai White, and offensive lineman TJ Shanahan Jr. as transfers into the Nittany Lions. Penn State lost quarterback Beau Pribula, tight end Jerry Cross, and defensive end TA Cunningham to the portal.
