Penn State Athletics Releases Further Beaver Stadium Revitalization Details

Penn State athletes announced further plans for the revitalization of the west side of Beaver Stadium Thursday morning.

The project, which will be completed prior to the 2027 football season, has entered its next phase after the demolition of the press box and removal of upper deck and other structures on the ground level took place after the 2024 season.

“We are thrilled to share our plans for the west side of our Beaver Stadium Revitalization. The improvements we made on the east side following the 2023 season have enhanced fan experience and circulation throughout the building,” Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Pat Kraft said in a release. “This project is not just a project for football, it is one that will impact all 31 sports teams at Penn State, our campus community and the Centre Region for years to come.”

The next phase, which will be completed ahead of the 2025 season, includes the installation of 7,900 temporary seats, the PAM Health Misitano Family Tower, the Schuyler Family Club, and Marzano Club. There will also be temporary concessions and restrooms.

Penn State is expecting the Beaver Stadium capacity to remain above 100,000 fans for football games, and said parking and tailgating should not be limited.
