Lion Caucus President Michael Fowler Announces UPUA Presidential Campaign

Lion Caucus President Michael Fowler will run for UPUA president, he announced Monday. Fowler will run alongside Ben Lindgren, UPUA’s executive director of sustainability. Fowler and Lindgren will run on the motto, “For the future of the valley.”
“Through my time in the UPUA, Lion Caucus, the Student Fee Board, and as a member of the student body, I’ve developed a passion and commitment to ensuring equitable access to affordable education, augmenting essential campus resources and basic needs, and fostering a strong and supportive community for any student lucky enough to call themselves a Penn Stater,” Fowler wrote.
“As your UPUA vice president, I will advocate for students’ access to affordable resources, promote sustainable improvements in campus operations, and enhance the strength of our university’s diverse identity groups,” Lindgren wrote.
Registration to run for a UPUA position will close at 5 p.m. on March 24, and elections will be held on April 2. Thus far, only Rasha Elwakil and Fletcher Port are the only challengers for the helm of Penn State’s student government.
