Welcome back to another week of figuring out which State College bar has the best bit.

Last week’s contest of Onward State’s Best State College Bar Experiences bracket didn’t see too many upsets, though Antifragile’s cheesesteaks (which, yes, are back) took down Den Tuesdays in the week’s biggest upsets.

Whether it’s a certain location, a drink special, or a theme night, each bar has something that makes it awesome, and we want you to pick your favorite. This week offers some heavy-hitting matchups for the best things that State College’s finest bars have to offer.

Voting for the Sweet 16 closes at 5 p.m. on Monday, and folks can cast their ballots here.

Hofbräuhaus Region

True to its name, the Hofbräuhaus Region is absolutely dominated by Doggie’s, with three of the four remaining experiences standing as Doggie’s experiences. Champs Dirty Sprite is still in it, but it’s hard to favor the upset over the likes of Doggie’s pizza.

DJ Yemi Region

The DJ Yemi Region held steady without any upsets, which should continue this week. 55 Days of Cafe did have a strong performance against Dueling Pianos at the Phyrst, though, and Champs DVSN underperformed expectations against Sharkies pool. Make sure to watch that for a potential upset.

Luke Combs Region

Our first upset from last week came from Den patio, which upset Basement Latin Night. Still, the matchup to watch here will be Cafe’s iconic teas vs. Champs’ electrifying DJs.

Daydrinking Region

Looking for entertainment? Come to the Daydrinking Region. Antifragile cheesesteaks is hoping to make a Cinderella run against an admittedly weak Gaffeoke. Still, it’s hard to imagine Cafe’s patio and deck not making the regional finals here, especially as the weather warms up.
