Penn State Baseball Outfielder Paxton Kling Named To All-Big Ten Tournament Team

Following the end of the Big Ten baseball tournament on Sunday, Penn State baseball outfielder Paxton Kling added another honor to his outstanding junior season, as he was named to the All-Big Ten Tournament team as the lone Nittany Lion representative.
Over three games, Kling went 7-for-9 with two doubles, an RBI, and three walks. As he had been the whole season, Kling was the shoulder the offense leaned on and the most consistent Nittany Lion.
The junior transfer from LSU finished his 2025 season slashing .358/.470/.632 with 13 home runs, 54 RBI, 30 extra base hits, and 15 stolen bases in 56 games. He was named to the All-Big Ten First Team and All-Big Ten Defensive Team following the regular season. He finished his season putting his name on Penn State all-time leaderboards, being tied for third in runs (63), sixth in total bases (134), tied for seventh in home runs (13), tied for eighth in hits (76), and tied for ninth in RBI (54).
While Kling could return for his senior season in 2026, he is getting some buzz as a prospect in the 2025 MLB Draft. MLB Pipeline ranked him as the No. 143 prospect in this year’s draft, which would place him in the fifth round. Since 2011, the only Nittany Lion to be picked in the first five rounds was Matthew Wood, going in the fourth round to the Milwaukee Brewers in 2022.
