Penn State Women’s Hockey Players Brianna Brooks & Lyndie Lobdell Selected In PWHL Draft

Former Penn State women’s hockey players Brianna Brooks and Lyndie Lobdell will take their talents to the professional level after being selected in the 2025 PWHL Draft Tuesday night.
As the program’s first two draft picks, Brooks was drafted by Vancouver with the No. 32 overall pick, while Lobdell was selected with the No. 40 pick by Seattle.
After three years at New Hampshire, Brooks had 25 goals and 31 assists in two years with the Nittany Lions, including four game-winning goals in her final year.
Lobdell spent all five years of her collegiate career in Happy Valley, and went for 84 total points with a career-high 17 assists last season.
The Professional Women’s Hockey League, which was founded in August 2023, runs from November-May and features eight teams.
