Right-Handed Pitcher Kyle Lazer Transfers To Penn State Baseball

Former West Chester baseball right-handed pitcher Kyle Lazer committed to Penn State baseball out of the transfer portal, he announced on Instagram Saturday afternoon. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

The Havertown, Pennsylvania, native made 13 stars for the Rams last season, posting a record of 8-3 with a 3.17 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a .242 opponent’s batting average. Four of those starts were complete games for Lazer.

For his efforts during 2024, he was named to the PSAC East Second Team All-League, the NCBWA Second Team All-Region, the D2CCA Second Team All-Region, and the ABCA Second Team All-Region.

The redshirt junior made 43 appearances in his other two seasons with West Chester, with a combined record of 9-4 and a team high of nine saves.

Lazer is the fourth addition to the Penn State roster from the transfer portal in the last week, joining Kyle Emmons, Ben Hudson, and Michael Anderson.
