Penn State Launches Athlete Digital Media Platform ROAR+

Penn State Athletics has collaborated with Playfly Max and Lockerverse to release ROAR+, a new digital media platform focused on student-athletes, which officially launched on Thursday.

The platform features exclusive content with behind-the-scenes looks, live chat-based interactions, and original programming while directly supporting the student-athletes through NIL deals. Fans can choose between multiple subscription tiers ranging from $15 to $250 monthly.

“As part of the Roar Solutions portfolio, we’re constantly innovating to enhance the student-athlete experience in this evolving era of college athletics,” said Morgyn Seigfried, General Manager of NIL at Playfly Max, in a release. “ROAR+ will forge a direct connection with our most passionate supporters, providing student-athletes a bold and authentic platform to share their stories, their way.”

Subscribers also have access to exclusive shows hosted by Penn State football legend LaVar Arrington and longtime Penn State announcer Brian Tripp.

“ROAR+ is about creating a deeper connection between our fans and student-athletes while providing meaningful NIL opportunities,” said Pat Kraft. “This is a bold step forward in delivering innovative experiences to our supporters and empowering our student-athletes to tell their stories like never before.”

Proceeds from ROAR+ go directly to Penn State’s student-athletes in exchange for content, fan engagement, and platform promotion. For more questions, visit the ROAR+ website.
