Penn State Women’s Volleyball Ranked No. 2 In AVCA Preseason Poll

Penn State women’s volleyball was ranked No. 2 in the AVCA preseason poll on Wednesday in the lead-up to the 2025 season after winning last year’s national championship.

The Nittany Lions were one of three Big Ten teams in the top 10, along with Nebraska (No. 1) and Wisconsin (No. 8). They will face both teams, along with No. 11 Minnesota and No. 18 UCLA, in conference play.

Penn State will go up against No. 7 Kentucky, No. 12 Creighton, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 14 Kansas, No. 15 Purdue, and No. 25 TCU in non-conference play.

The Nittany Lions open their season at the AVCA First Serve event, taking on Creighton on Saturday, August 23. They will host their home opener at Rec Hall against Kentucky on Tuesday, September 5.
