Penn State Men’s Soccer Announces Captains For 2025 Season

Penn State men’s soccer announced Freddie Bell, Ben Liscum, and Matthew Henderson as its captains for the 2025 season on Friday.

During the 2024 season, Bell, a midfielder, played in 12 games, starting nine, and logging 884 minutes. Entering Penn State, he was named on Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100 Freshmen list.

Liscum, a fellow midfielder, played in 16 games, scoring one game-winning goal against St. Bonaventure, and played 975 minutes. Some of Liscum’s awards include NCAA Postgraduate Scholar, Big Ten Postgraduate Scholar, and Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree.

Henderson, a defender, played and started in 16 games last season. He scored 3 goals, had 2 assists, and played 1,410 minutes. His awards from last season include Big Ten Player to Watch and Defensive Player of the Week on October 10th.

Penn State will start its season at home on August 21st against Stetson.
