Two Penn State Football Players Charged With Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

Penn State football players Dejuan Lane and Kenny Woseley Jr. were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for disorderly conduct following an on-campus incident at their Nittany Apartments residence on the night of July 28.
According to WTAJ Altoona, a Penn State police officer smelled marijuana while on foot patrol around Nittany Apartments, where the odor got stronger as they approached the front door. While further observing the apartment, the officer found the smoke detector on the second floor covered by a plastic bag.
After Lane and Woseley were determined to be the residents, university police conducted a search of the apartment. Inside Lane’s room, police found a black container with dustings of suspected marijuana in two plastic bags placed in the trash. The dustings tested positive for THC.
In Woseley’s room, police allegedly found a Muha Meds vape, which Woseley admitted contained THC. Police also found an unopened bottle of Don Julio tequila in Woseley’s room, adding a citation for purchasing alcohol by a minor.
“We are aware of the allegations against Dejuan Lane and Kenneth Woseley,” a Penn State Athletics spokesperson said in a statement. “These alleged actions do not reflect the values and standards of our program and will be addressed. We will not comment any further as this is an ongoing legal matter.”
Lane and Woseley are slated to appear for court hearings on August 27, three days before the Nittany Lions’ season opener against Nevada. Folks can find the university police crime log of the incident here.
