Penn State Women’s Soccer Moves Up To No. 9 In United Soccer Coaches Poll

Penn State women’s soccer moved to No. 9 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll. The Nittany Lions moved up five spots after being ranked No. 14 in last week’s rankings.

After starting the season ranked No. 11, Penn State dropped to No. 14 after losing its season opener against then-No. 4 Duke. However, it has responded with back-to-back convincing wins last week against then-No. 23 Saint Louis and West Virginia which led to its rise in the rankings.

The Nittany Lions will continue their four-game homestand at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, when they take on Santa Clara. They will close out their homestand at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, when they face James Madison as part of their Senior Day.
