Penn State Women’s Hockey Ranked No. 1 In Preseason AHA Coaches Poll

The Nittany Lions are at the top of the AHA preseason rankings.

Penn State women’s hockey was named the No. 1 team in the AHA Coaches Preseason Poll on Tuesday.

The AHA conference consists of Penn State, Mercyhurst, RIT, Syracuse, Robert Morris, Lindenwood, and Delaware. The Nittany Lions are attempting to go for their fourth straight AHA title, winning the last three over Mercyhurst.

Jeff Kampersal led the Nittany Lions to a historic season a year ago, finishing the campaign with a program-best 31-6-1 record.

The blue and white open their season at Pegula Ice Arena against St. Lawrence on September 25.
