No Refund Theatre Presents: ‘A Feminine Ending’

Ever since the semester began, I’ve been patiently waiting for No Refund Theatre’s first production of the year. That wait is finally over with “A Feminine Ending,” written by Sarah Treem and directed by Elena Bishop.

From the moment I stepped into Forum 111, the hallmarks of NRT’s work were already on display: an ambitious story brought to life in a way that makes it look easy. I’m always amazed that this could be done by classmates in my old physics classroom.

“A Feminine Ending” follows the story of Amanda Blue, portrayed by Maylin Alvarez, a young woman caught between her childhood dreams and the demands of the people around her. Deferred dreams of stardom in the symphony are pushed aside as she begins to live in the real world, where no one seems to take her seriously.

“A Feminine Ending” will take place from Thursday, September 11, to Saturday, September 13th, at 8 p.m. in Forum 111. Admission is free, and no refunds!
