Izzy Starck No Longer Listed On Penn State Women’s Volleyball Roster

Penn State women’s volleyball setter Izzy Starck is no longer listed on the team’s official 2025 roster as of Friday.

Starck announced last week that she would step away from volleyball for the remainder of the season to prioritize her mental health.

The sophomore was named the Big Ten and AVCA National Freshman of the Year last season after leading the nation with 1,483 total assists. She played in the Nittany Lions’ first four matches this year before stepping away.

Penn State has started Saint Louis transfer setter Addie Lyon in each of the last three matches since Starck’s departure, and she has racked up 99 assists.

The 4-3 and No. 12-ranked Nittany Lions will return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at Rec Hall with a match against No. 7 Pitt.
