College GameDay Crew Arrives In Happy Valley

The crew is in our city!

Trucks from ESPN’s college football pregame show, College GameDay, started arriving behind Old Main at Penn State on Tuesday evening to prepare for this weekend’s show ahead of the Penn State-Oregon White Out.

It’s the first time College GameDay will broadcast from Old Main Lawn since the 2021 White Out, when Auburn came to town in the middle of September. The show returned to Happy Valley for the first time since 2021, a season ago, for the Ohio State showdown. The crew was forced to set up outside the Bryce Jordan Center because of the noon kickoff.

This coming weekend’s show will be the Nittany Lions’ 26th time on College GameDay and the 12th time Penn State has hosted the prestigious show.

The pregame show will be live on the air from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday. Folks are encouraged to arrive as early as possible to get the best view of the set.

No. 3 Penn State will square up with fellow Big Ten powerhouse No. 6 Oregon at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The game will air on NBC.
