[Photo Story] Homecoming 2025 ‘For the Glory’ Talent Show

Hey folks, it’s that time of year for Penn State’s annual talent show!

We’ve compiled some photos to highlight the incredible performances that took place.

The band Jaaye kicked off the show with three guitarists (one also the lead singer) and a drummer. They brought happy vibes and upbeat energy — the perfect way to get the crowd going!

Next up was the Nittany Dance Project, a hip-hop dance team that’s been part of the talent show for the past four years. They performed to upbeat pop hits and delivered flawless rhythm.

Penn State Line Dance Club, one of the newest clubs on campus, followed with a fun, country-inspired routine set to pop songs. Then came the co-ed a cappella group Blue in the Face, a long-standing Penn State favorite for over a decade. They performed Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield, uniting the audience with claps, harmonies, and some impressive beatboxing.

Orchesis Dance Company took the stage next, performing to “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac. Dressed in elegant black costumes, they embodied grace and power. They were followed by The Statesmen, Penn State’s all-male a cappella group, who delivered another crowd-pleasing performance.

Two more dance groups took the stage in Rince na Léon, an Irish dance club that brought fun as one of the dancers wore a bald cap dressed as Pitbull, showing off their sharp moves, and Reve Dance Company, who performed a beautiful and expressive piece.

Next up, The Coda Conduct mixed multiple songs into an energetic mashup that got the crowd moving.

Urban Dance Troupe followed, shocking the audience with their incredible hip-hop skills and stage presence.

Then came Tapestry Dance Co., where they tap danced to “Shrek,” even wearing some Shrek ears. After that were the Singing Lions and Penn State Dance Alliance, who performed to Lady Gaga, bringing an electric feeling. As well as Vole, showing off a fierce dance in fiery red tops.

Finishing the Talent Show strong was the winner of Allen Street Jam, Whiplash! The dancers closed the talent show out with high energy and strong personalities.

Finally, the show is over, and it has come to the time when the judges need to decide the winners! During the break, the homecoming court performed to “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus.

The crowd eagerly waited while the judges made their final decision.

Urban Dance Troupe earned the crown for the fourth year in a row!

It was an unforgettable night filled with talent, energy, and Penn State pride — a true celebration of creativity and community.
