Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Nine

Another week of college football flies by, and suddenly we’re two months through the 2025 season, folks.
Coming off four consecutive losses, the Nittany Lions finally got a much-needed bye week this week to reset ahead of their largest test of the season against No. 1 Ohio State.
In a week where Penn State looked to reset the tone for the rest of its season, several former Penn State football players made headlines with their new programs. Here’s a look at how some transfers made their mark this weekend.
Beau Pribula, Missouri
Arguably, one of the biggest headlines of the week came from former Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula. Leading the No. 15 Missouri Tigers on the road against No. 10 Vanderbilt, Pribula sustained an ankle injury when he was stuffed on a fourth-and-goal quarterback keep, four minutes into the third quarter. The senior was then carted off the field and did not see the remainder of the game.
Before the injury that removed Pribula from the game, he completed nine of 14 passes for 68 yards, coupled with four carries for 10 yards.
Despite a late fourth-quarter comeback attempt from Missouri, the Tigers ultimately fell 10-17 to Vanderbilt
Harrison Wallace III, Ole Miss
The former Penn State wide receiver played a substantial role in the Rebels’ 34-26 win over No. 13 Oklahoma. Wallace recorded five catches for a total of 64 yards.
Omari Evans, Washington
This week, the former Penn State wide receiver made no contributions to the Huskies and did not record a target in the Huskies’ 42-25 upset win over No. 23 Illinois.
Cam Miller, Rutgers
The former Penn State cornerback recorded two solo tackles during the Scarlet Knights’ 27-24 win over Purdue.
Mekhi Flowers, Akron
Flowers, a former Penn State defensive back, held a big defensive presence for the Zips this weekend in their 24-16 win over Buffalo. The junior recorded nine total tackles, including five total tackles.
Jon Mitchell, Georgia Tech
In No. 12 Georgia Tech’s 41-16 win over Syracuse, Mitchell had minimal impact. The former Penn State defensive back recorded two solo tackles. His Yellow Jackets move to 8-0 on the season and recently moved into the top ten of the Week 9 AP Poll.
Tyrece Mills, UConn
Another former Penn State defensive back, Mills, also held a minimal impact performance in the Huskies’ dramatic double overtime loss to Rice, where he recorded just two solo tackles.
Smith Vilbert, North Carolina
In the Tar Heels’ competitive 17-16 overtime loss to No. 16 Virginia, the former Penn State defensive lineman recorded two tackles, one solo and one assisted.
