UPUA Votes To Continue Co-Sponsorships & Swears In New Member

The 20th Assembly of the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) met on Wednesday to discuss the costs of co-sponsorships, elect a Student Programming Association (SPA) liaison, and swear in one member.

There were no bills to pass on Wednesday, but instead, UPUA voted on whether to continue co-sponsorships for the assembly, based on the fiscal budget.

The UPUA lost an anticipated $11,170.28 in carryover for this fiscal year, with the University Park Fee Board denying its request. Now, they need to amend the budget and reallocate funds. The members voted 30-1 to continue cosponsorships for this assembly.

Confirmations & Swearing Ins

UPUA voted on the election of a SPA liaison to help with communications with the student-run program. Avery Landis was elected with a vote of 19-7.

Following the confirmation, the assembly swore in Daniela Cruz as the deputy director of design.
