Nick Singleton Overtakes Saquon Barkley In Three Program Career Records

Nick “the quick” Singleton, folks!

Penn State football running back Nick Singleton surpassed Saquon Barkley as the program’s leader in career rushing touchdowns with 44 and total career touchdowns with 54, and all-purpose yards with 5,539. He overtook the touchdown records with his 11-yard touchdown in the first quarter against Rutgers and the yardage record in the third quarter off a six-yard catch.

Going into the game against the Scarlet Knights, Singleton tallied 463 yards with 11 touchdowns on 114 carries, good enough for a 4.1 yards per carry average in 2025. Through the air, Singleton has accumulated 196 yards on 22 receptions and 1 touchdown.

Although it hasn’t been his best season, Singleton’s career ranks among the top ever to wear the blue and white. In his four-year career, Singleton has 3,461 yards on 622 carries with a career average of 5.56, good enough to land him No. 4 on Penn State’s all-time rushing yards list.

He has also been dynamic in the receiving game, tallying 987 yards on 102 receptions with a career average of 9.6. His receiving touchdown total stands at nine.

His all-purpose yardage now stands at 5,586, standing alone at the top of yet another program record.
