Rob Dow Hired As Penn State Men’s Soccer Head Coach

Rob Dow has officially been named as the next head coach of Penn State men’s soccer, the program announced on Thursday.

Penn State men’s soccer is hiring Rob Dow as its new head coach, per Centre Daily Times’ Jon Sauber.
Dow will join the Nittany Lions after spending nine years as the head coach at Vermont, where he won the 2024 national championship.
The 44-year-old had a 109-41-21 record with the Catamounts and made five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances to close out his time with Vermont.
After a four-year playing career at Maine, the Nova Scotia native made assistant coaching stops at Maine, Southern New Hampshire, and Vermont for five years before being promoted. He was also the head coach of Division lll Dean College for two years.
Dow, who will become the 13th coach in program history, will replace Jeff Cook, who resigned on November 21 after eight seasons in Happy Valley.
The Nittany Lions went 5-8-4 overall and 1-6-3 in the Big Ten last season.
