Nittany Lions In The NFL: Week 17 Roundup

One more week to go.
While Penn State picked up a bowl game win against Clemson, many Nittany Lions in the NFL were winning with their new teams, too, in the second-to-last week of the regular season.
Let’s take a look at how some Nittany Lions did in week 17 of the NFL.
Chris Godwin Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Chris Godwin Jr. brought in his second touchdown of the season for Tampa Bay in its loss to the Dolphins. Godwin had seven receptions for 108 yards, averaging 15.4 yards.
Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars
Parker Washington had eight catches for 115 yards, an average of 14.4, against the Colts. The wide receiver’s longest reception was for 37 yards in the 23-17 win.
Jaquan Brisker, Chicago Bears
Jaquan Brisker defended one pass as the Bears fell to the San Francisco 49ers 42-38. The safety recorded eight tackles for the day.
Abdul Carter, New York Giants
Abdul Carter contributed three tackles and 0.5 sacks in the New York Giants’ 34-10 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. This was Carter’s first win in 80 days.
Other Notable Performances:
- Saquon Barkley had 19 attempts for 68 yards in the Philadelphia Eagles’ one-point win over the Buffalo Bills, 13-12. He averaged 3.6 yards per carry.
- Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren caught the ball five times for 43 yards, averaging 8.6 yards per reception.
- Ji’Ayir Brown brought in four tackles and one pass defended in the 49ers’ victory.
- Mike Gesicki only had two receptions, but brought them in for 47 yards total as the Bengals beat the Cardinals 37-14.
- Odafe Oweh had one tackle in the Chargers’ loss to the Texans.
- Tight end Pat Freiermuth recorded 63 yards in three receptions, averaging 21 yards, as the Steelers fell to the Browns 13-6.
- Joey Porter Jr. also contributed four tackles in the Steelers’ loss.
- Nick Scott added seven tackles as the Panthers fell to the Seahawks 27-10.
