Kat Hogan Named UPUA President

Kat Hogan and Maria Lopez were named University Park Undergraduate Association’s (UPUA) president and vice president for its 21st assembly.

The pair received 1,853 votes to win. Tyler Mann and Caleb Calderon followed with 1,034 votes, and Akito Hatch and Chloe Smith received 281 votes.

3,194 students voted in this election, down from last year.

Hogan was speaker of the 20th assembly and chair of the 19th assembly’s Justice and Equity Committee. Lopez chaired the committee this year as well as the Lion Caucus representative in the 19th assembly.

Hogan and Lopez will be sworn into the 21st assembly on April 15. They will succeed 20th assembly President Rasha Elwakil and Vice President Noah Youcheff.
