Penn State Football Running Back Kaytron Allen Declares For 2026 NFL Draft

Penn State football running back Kaytron Allen has declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, he announced on social media Tuesday. Allen played four years with the Nittany Lions, becoming one of the best running backs to emerge from the storied position at Penn State.

The Nittany Lion has been the backbone of Penn State’s offensive production this season, tallying 1,303 yards and 15 touchdowns on 210 carries in the regular season. His yards, touchdowns, and 6.2 yards per carry average are his best to date.

His rushing yards rank No. 6 nationally and No. 2 in the conference. His rushing touchdown total is tied for No. 7 in the country and tied for the most in the Big Ten.

Allen solidified himself in the all-time program record books this season, as well. The Nittany Lion finished as Penn State’s all-time leading rusher with 4,180 yards, beating out Evan Royster’s previous record of 3,932.

Additionally, Allen ranks No. 3 in the program’s all-time career rushing touchdowns list with 39, just six behind his teammate Nick Singleton, and No. 9 for the most touchdowns in a single season with 15.

Allen, a former four-star recruit out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, ranked as the No. 19 player in the state, No. 12 running back in the country, and the No. 155 player overall, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

In his freshman season, Allen was named Penn State’s Most Valuable Offensive Player along with Nicholas Singleton after running for 867 yards and 10 touchdowns on 167 carries in all 13 games. He also added 20 receptions for 188 yards with a touchdown through the air.

In 2023, he was once again Penn State’s Offensive Most Valuable Player along with Nicholas Singleton. He appeared in all 13 contests and ran for 902 yards on 172 carries with six touchdowns. He finished as the fourth-ranked back in the Big Ten in yards per carry with 5.2, fifth in rushing yards, and tied for ninth in rushing touchdowns.

As a junior, Allen appeared in each of Penn State’s 16 games, making five starts. He rushed for 1,108 yards on 220 carries with eight touchdowns. He finished fifth in the Big Ten in rushing yardage.

Allen and Singleton have now both officially declared for the NFL Draft.
