Report: Former Iowa State Quarterback Alex Manske Transfers To Penn State Football

Former Iowa State quarterback Alex Manske has committed to Penn State football out of the transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Manske was a four-star recruit, ranked the No. 25 overall quarterback and the No. 2 player from Iowa, per the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. The redshirt freshman hails from Algona, Iowa, and has four years of eligibility remaining.

The quarterback played in three games for the Cyclones in the 2025 season to preserve his redshirt. He completed four passes for 28 yards, added seven rushing attempts for 33 yards, and scored on the ground against the South Dakota Coyotes.

Manske is the sixth former Iowa State player to hit the transfer portal and rejoin coach Matt Campbell in Happy Valley. He follows fellow quarterback Rocco Becht.
