Nittany Lions In The NFL: Week 18 Roundup

The last week of the regular season is here, folks.

With Penn Staters fighting to move onto the playoffs, we looked at how some Nittany Lions fared in week 18 of the NFL.

Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville tight end Brenton Strange hauled in six catches for 52 yards as the Jaguars beat the Tennessee Titans 41-7. He added a 7-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars

Parker Washington also had a strong showing in the Jaguars’ win over the Titans. The wide receiver brought in five receptions for 87 yards and a 23-yard touchdown reception.

Jaquan Brisker, Chicago Bears

Safety Jaquan Brisker posted eight tackles, five solo, and two pass breakups as the Bears fell to the Detroit Lions 19-16.

Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers

Tight end Pat Freiermuth caught three passes for 51 yards in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ 26-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens to clinch the AFC North title.

Other Notable Performances

  • Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad made his first career start in the loss against the Las Vegas Raiders, 14-12. Nourzad played all 64 snaps on offense.
  • Safety Nick Scott recorded nine tackles, six solo, for the Carolina Panthers in the 16-14 loss to the Buccaneers.
  • Tyler Warren brought in five passes for 26 yards as the Colts fell to the Texans, 38-30.
  • San Francisco safety Ji’Ayir Brown recorded eight tackles, five solo, in the San Francisco 49ers’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks, 13-3.
  • Jahan Doston caught three of his eight targets in the Philadelphia Eagles’ 24-17 loss to the Washington Commanders. The wide receiver hauled in 40 yards.
